The Baltimore/Washington DC are is served by three main airports. The largest and busiest is Dulles International located in Fairfax, Virginia. This is followed by Baltimore Washington International which is located close to Baltimore in Maryland. The last one is Ronald Reagan National Airport just across the Potomac River from Washington DC in Arlington, Virginia.
Transport Options
As with most major metro areas there is a wide variety of transport to get you to and from the airport including limousines, taxis, buses, trains and shuttle vans.
Trains - Both BWI and National have rail links which connect them directly with Baltimore and Washington respectively. A bus ride is required to connect to the DC Metro system when flying into Dulles.
Taxis - A large number of taxi companies serve the three airports and the surrounding area.
Limousines - Many limousine companies serve the Baltimore/Washington DC area.
Shuttle Vans - Again there are many companies offering shuttle service including many of the well known national ones.
Car Rentals - Are available at all 3 airports.
Buses - The Washington Metro Area is served by a number of public transport agencies.
